Daleel in Solidarity with World Environment Day

The World Environment Day is an annual event in the corporate calendar for Daleel Petroleum LLC. The Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Department embarked on an awareness campaign for all its employees not only at the corporate level but extended to the personal individual level. Similarly to the previous year, the activities conducted engaged participants at the head office in Muscat as well as the field.
The 2014 WED theme called to “Raise your voice, not the sea level” and to support the drive, Daleel considered options for reducing pollution and saving energy within office environment. Permanent reminders were fixed in strategic locations encouraging users to save energy and switching of lights and computers when not in use. In addition, Daleel Petroleum invited its employees to participate in the Tweetathon and the WED Challenge introduced by United Nations Environment Program. A ceremony to mark the occasion was held on 5th June 2014 in Daleel and attended by the Company Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. The QHSE Manager, Dr. Ghudayyer Al Wahibi delivered a talk to the audience while emphasizing on the importance of taking action as a corporate and as individuals. It was important to carry the message home. On a day that was described as a Global Day for Action for the Environment, Daleel shall continue to work in a responsible manner towards the environment and dedicating efforts for an environment friendly future for the generations to come.
