Daleel Petroleum and the Ministry of Higher Education Sign an Agreement for 20 Scholarships The Ministry of Higher Education signed an agreement with Daleel Petroleum LLC at the Ministry recently. The scholarship agreement was signed by HE Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sarmi, the Undersecretary of Higher Education and Mr. Gong Changli, the Chief Executive Officer at Daleel Petroleum LLC. The signing ceremony was also attended by Fahmy bin Hamad Al Musharfi, the Chief Corporate Planning Officer at Daleel Petroleum and Hamad bin Hamoud al Balushi, Scholarships Director General at the Ministry of Higher Education along with officials and representatives from both sides.
Daleel Petroleum will provide 20 scholarships in the discipline of Engineering through local educational institutes. As per the agreement, all academic fees in addition to a monthly allowance will be covered by Daleel. The scholarships will be offered to students with a fair opportunity to all 2013/2014 graduates at the Higher Education Admissions Center for the academic year 2014/2015.
This initiative reflects awareness of the private sectors in effectively carrying out its responsibility towards the community. It confirms the belief in human resources as the most important element of development. Therefore, educating and nurturing skills and abilities is a pursued target for building a bright and solid future under the wise directives of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Thus emphasizing the significance of private sector contribution to the development of the country.
