25 May 2025

Daleel Petroleum signed an agreement to launch the implementation of the Ibri Public Park Project in Al Dhahirah Governorate. The project is being jointly funded by leading companies from the oil and gas sector including Daleel Petroleum, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), OQ, Occidental Oman (Oxy), BP, CCED, and ARA Petroleum—in partnership with the Office of the Al Dhahirah Governorate. It will be carried out under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals.
This initiative is part of a broader commitment by the energy sector to corporate social responsibility and community development. It aims to enhance the quality of life in the Wilayat of Ibri by providing essential public services and recreational facilities.
The agreement was signed by His Excellency Najeeb bin Ali Al Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahirah, and Mr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Darmaki, Senior Manager – People & Support at Daleel Petroleum, and with presence of a representative from the company that will carry out the project. The park is expected to be completed within two years, marking an important step toward enhancing community spaces in the region.
Once complete, the park will be a vibrant addition to the community—an inviting green space that supports environmental sustainability, encourages healthy living, and strengthens social connections. It’s designed to be a safe and welcoming place for families to gather, play, and relax, while also serving as a hub for sports, cultural activities, and community events.
Construction is set to begin soon, following a well-defined timeline and adhering to recognized standards of quality and environmental responsibility. Daleel Petroleum will lead the implementation of the project in close coordination with all partners, ensuring that every stage reflects a shared commitment to sustainability and long-term community impact. The project not only aims to deliver a high-quality public space but also supports broader sustainable development goals by investing in green infrastructure and enhancing quality of life.
